Boys Don't Cry is the story of Brandon Teena, a woman pretending to be a man. Brandon befriends a group of people in a small town and eventually falls in love with one of them, a woman. When Brandons new friends discover her secret theirs hell to pay.

The director of the film Kimberly Price spent years researching the story of Brandon Teena. When Price made the film she tried to make it as accurate as possible while keeping the film entertaining. The film was made for about 2 million dollars, it was shot all over the state of Texas. The film did very well at the box office pulling in over 11 million dollars. The film shows what a producer can do with a little amount of money and turn out a successful film with great actors.
